Capital city Delhi is the paradise for tourists in Delhi. The place of all the lovers, without places to go and extra money to spend in Delhi, is the beautiful and serene Lodi Garden. The Lodi Garden is a popular picnic destination and attracts large crowd including school children. Yoga classes are organized every morning in the park for the regular walkers. The park is equally active at night. Street lamps along the paths and jogging track ensure the route is well lit. It is a perfect spot and a joy for morning walkers with lots of greenery and trees.

Once you enter the Lodhi Garden, you get to feel the history in its air only. Today it serves as one of the best jogger's park in Delhi. You can find a large variety of people early in the morning at Lodhi garden- some joggers while some fitness freaks practicing yoga or meditation amidst the lush green environment.
There are several tombs in this area. About 3Km to the west of Humayun's tomb and adjoining the India International Centre are the Lodhi Gardens. In these well kept gardens are the tombs of Sayyid and Lodi rulers. Mohammed Shah's tomb(1450) was a prototype for the later Mughal-style tomb of Humayun, a design that would eventually develop into the Taj Mahal. Carefully kept gardens and the medieval monuments lend a charm to these gardens.
Apart from this, there are other tombs, namely Bara Gumbad and Sheesh Gumbad. Bara Gumbad or the Big Dome is a square tomb with an imposing dome. Its facades appear to be two storied.
After that you will find another interesting construction here is the 'Athpula' Bridge. It was built by Nawab Bahadur in the 16th century, during Akbar's reign. This is bridge is called Athpula, as it rests on eight piers, forming seven arches. Besides these tombs, one can also visit the National Bonsai Park developed here, which has a delightful collection of miniature versions of several trees and plants. They look beautiful at sunset under soft light.
The major attractions of the Lodi Garden of Delhi are:
