Chhatarpur Temple

Chhatarpur temples, very popular temple situated on Mehrauli-Gurgaon road and the second largest temple after Akshardham temple Delhi. The temple is the major tourist attractions in the capital city of India. The marbles are used to build the temple and its complex. The qutub minar is located just 4 kilometer distance.

The Chhatarpur temple is very crowdy during the festival of Navaratri. The thousands of devotees visit the temple during Navaratri festival. The temple complex is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani (a form of Durga), Lord Shiva, Lord Rama and Lord Ganesha. the shrine of Goddess Katyani is opened for the ‘darshan’ on Asthami whereas another shrine of Maha Gauri (form of Durga) is opened morning to night daily for worship.

The temple spread over a large area complex with gardens. Swami Nagpal Maharaj, the great devotee of goddess Durga had built this temple. The discourses and prayers held round the clock and round the calendar in entire ambience that provides a spiritual peace and divine bless to the listeners. An ancient tree, on the main entrance covered with holy threads always attracts to visitors. People tie threads or bangles to this tree with the belief that their wishes would be fulfilled.

How to Reach Chhatarpur Temple?
Reaching to the hindu temple is very easy and the tourists or visitors can reach there by auto rickshaw, bus and taxis available from all the places. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport. The nearest metro station is Central Secretariat and the nearest railway station is Hazrat Nizzamuddin from where tourists can hire any taxi or auto  rickshaw to reach there.

Alai-Darwaza, Quwwatul-Islam Mosque, Iron Pillar, Alai Minar, Tomb of Iltutmish, Imam Zamin’s Tomb and Ala-ud-Din Madarsa are the nearest tourist spots from Chhatarpur temple.
