Janki Devi Memorial College

The college was founded in 1959 by the famous Gandhian Shri Brij Krishan Chandiwala in memory of his mother Smt. Janki Devi in order to promote women's education. In recognition of the changing global scenario the college has changed its priorities and perspectives which are amply reflected in the syllabi and curricula. The college essentially caters to students of Humanities and Commerce streams.  It located in the Delhi Ridge area near Karol Bagh metro station. Its students are among top scorers in the University. The college campus is disabled friendly and its award-winning gardens provide an inviting ambience.

The college has an active placement cell with many renowned companies having offered an average pay package of Rs 2-4l per annum. There is a well-stocked automated library, three computer labs, sports complex, NSS a canteen which offers free breakfast for sportspersons, and special facilities for the differently abled. The college environment society Avani provides a platform for all environmentally conscious students to participate & contribute towards raising awareness among the youth about environmental issues. It’s the first college to have started rainwater harvesting 10yers ago
