CVS is the only college in
DU that primarily offers
vocational courses. It was set up directly by the university in
1972 to bridge the gap between
general university education and employability. The college focuses on providing students with
job-oriented skills and knowledge.
Principal Inder Jeet Dagar says:
“Ours is the only college to offer
vocational courses in the field of management. The college has the best faculty and we are committed toward providing our students a
meaningful and contemporary education.”

The college has a well-stocked, fully computerized and air-conditioned library, two computer labs while a third one is being set up. There are cultural committees, sport facilities and a playground. It also has a music band, debating society, a seminar room; NCC a placement and training cell, NSS and a canteen, soon, wi-fi will be available on the campus.
