Stress, Cause of stress and about Stress Management

Stress is someone’s body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. Stress is the opposite of relaxation. Both positive and negative aspects of life can be equally stressful. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But this can also be a bad thing, if their stress is in response to something emotional and there is no outlet for this extra energy and strength. The questions arise related to stress are:  What are the Causes of Stress? What are Symptoms of Stress? What is stress management?

This section will discuss different causes of stress, how stress affects you, some common facts about how stress affects people today and some tips for stress management.
Many different factors can cause stress it can be physical like such as fear of something dangerous or emotional such as worry over your family or job.



Causes of stress can be anything from the following:
Job Stress involves Long hours, difficult co-workers, and lack of appreciation are just a few factors that contribute to job stress, other reasons can be Relationship Stress, Traits and Attitudes stress, Financial Stress other than that like Divorce, Marriage separation, Injury or illness, Spouse’s death, Marriage reconciliation, Fired from job, Death of a close relative or friend can be stress causes.
To know whether a person is suffering from stress or not, Symptoms of Stress are listed below:
Under any kind of stress a person feels:

  • Tightening your muscles or making you feel tense.
  • Leaving you with cold hands, feet, or skin.
  • Makes your heartbeat and breath faster. 
  • Makes you sweat more.
  • Making you feel sick to your stomach or giving you 'butterflies'.
  • Leaving your mouth dry.
  • Making you have to go to the bathroom frequently.
  • Increasing muscle spasms, headaches, fatigue, and shortness of breath.
  • Making you feel rejected, unable to laugh, afraid of free time, unable to work.

To overcome the stress one should consider about stress management. But what is stress management?
Stress Management is the ability to maintain control when situations, people, and events make excessive demands.



Some Simple tips of stress managements are:First recognize your stress and learn how to relax yourself by Meditation and breathing exercises which help in controlling stress. Avoid self-medication or escape like Alcohol and drugs can mask stress.  They don't help or deal with the problems.
Other Tips

  • Get a good night's rest.
  • Eat healthily.
  • Listen to your favorite music.
  • Exercise, participate in a sport or engage in fun activity.
  • Plan out your time and prioritize.
  • Talk to a friend about your problems, don't hold it in.
  • Get a massage.
  • Take a nap.
  • Take a warm bath.
  • Read a book or watch TV.
