Sony has announced a new PSP model at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne the PSP E-1000. PSP-E1000 puts amazing portable entertainment in your hands without busting your wallet. Enjoy the fantastic variety of perfect pocket money priced games with PSP Essentials. With new PSP E-1000 You can play all existing PSP games only in single player mode on PSP-E1000.

Unveiled with minimal fanfare as part of Sony's pre-GamesCom 2011 press conference, the PSP E-1000 is capable of playing all existing PSP games, according to Sony, but lacks Wi-Fi functionality. The design and form factor are slightly different as well. The PSP E-1000 also has a matte charcoal finish, but what makes it stand out the most of the budget 99 Euro price tag, making it an undeniably cheap option for gamers on the go.
It’ll be interesting to see how the PSP E1000 will be priced in India. The handheld is currently priced at Rs 7,990 with two free games, and if Sony can price this at around the Rs 5,000 mark, it could be a real shot in the arm for the PSP, which is beginning to fade away as attention shifts towards its successor, the Vita.
That means that downloadable games will have to be purchased via the PlayStation Store using Media Go, then transferred.
Few other details on the console have been released however, other than that Sony hopes to have the new PSP E-1000 on sale sometime this Autumn.
