Saif Ali Khan is now, officially, the
Nawab of Pataudi. Saif Ali Khan was crowned the
10th Nawab of Pataudi at a ceremony held in his ancestral palace on Monday. He was anointed as the Nawab following the death of his father,Late Mansoor Ali Khan.
His mother, Saif Ali Khan is now, officially, the Nawab of Pataudi, witnessed the ceremony of tying a white turban around Saif's head known as the 'rasam pagri'. The heads of 52 villages as well as Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda had gathered for the coronation ceremony. Kareena Kapoor, however, stayed away from the event.
Though the title of Nawab is not recognized by the government, it was the wish of the people of Pataudi to continue with the family tradition and hence Saif was crowned. Saif, apparently, will take over the management of his father's estate, trust and ancestral home, apart from many other charitable institutions that his late father was associated with.
