Noida City

Noida, expanded as New Okhla Industrial Development Area, is the large industrial and business area in Uttar Pradesh. It is a swank suburb of Delhi and comes under National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi.

Apart from a good business hub, Noida is also considered as one of the best residential place in NCR. It has many big malls, few good hotels and nightclubs, restaurants and cinema multiplexes. There are also townships, educational institutions, prestigious schools and popular hospitals.

Details of Noida
Noida is a small part in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The administrative headquarter of Gautam Budh Nagar is Surajpur, a nearby town, but highest government officials’ offices such as District Magistrate (DM) are located in Noida.

Noida is a part of Noida-Dadri Vidhan Sabha constituency and Gautam Budh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Noida is approximately 20 kms southeast of New Delhi. It falls in the catchment area of river Yamuna. It is well connected by two main expressways i.e. DND Flyway that connects Delhi and NOIDA-Greater NOIDA (NGN) Expressway.

Existence of Noida
Sanjay Gandhi established Noida as part of urbanization thrust during Emergency period. It came into administrative existence in the year 1976 on April 17. Noida Day is celebrated on 17 April of each year. It was created under Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act.
