Delhi University also open for those with 80%

DU Colleges Admission - Friday, July 5, 2013 7:19:46 AM

While the story of Delhi University undergraduate admissions seems to feature only the 90 percenters there are options available even for those with scores in the 80s. The idea, as various DU officials and principals repeat frequently, is to opt for course, rather than college.
There are several colleges that had their general category cutoffs in the 80s even for the first list, generally considered an "unrealistic" one — all subjects at Aditi Mahavidyalaya and Bhagini Nivedita. History, political science, philosophy, geography, sociology and even English were available in many colleges. By the third list, many subjects are "closed" but there are re-openings too. Gargi, for instance, has reopened English with a cutoff of 88.5%.
One or more of the science subjects were available for students who scored 80% or above at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam, Gargi, Sri Venkateswara and even North Campus colleges Kirori Mal and Daulat Ram, on the first list. By the third list, options are fewer.
