co-educational college of Delhi University,
DCAC was set up in
1987. It was the
first college in DU to introduce an honours programme in journalism in
1989. The college has recently renovated its infrastructure and is planning to introduce
new courses by next year.
DCAC was the first college of Delhi University to introduce the journalism course. DCAC has been ranked among the top 50 colleges on an all India basis by India Today - AC Nielsen - Org Marg Survey of Colleges published in India Today (18 June, 2010 issue).

The college has a library with more than
49,000 books, computer lab, auditorium, placement cell, a large playground, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a canteen. It also has an active
journalism society, NCC, NSS, a film club, environment society, women’s development centre, drama society and a society for other cultural activities. Thirty classrooms, a computer lab and a administrative block have been constructed.
