NEW DELHI: An artificial intelligence-based remote-monitoring system established by an IIT Chennai alumnus’s startup that contains a biosensor to measure oxygen levels,  temperature, respiratory patterns, and heart rate is helping Hong Kong track the health of Covid-19 patients and pick up on early symptoms of disease in those detentions.

The device was developed five years ago to monitor heart failure patients. It is worn on the human arm and it can measure over 20 different biomarkers in real-time, including heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen levels, skin temperature and activity.
