Aishwarya gets a baby shower followed by party

Aishwarya has not made too many public appearances since June. Aishwarya made an appearance, hiding her baby bump with a dupatta at a Mata Ki Chowki hosted by Sanjay Dutt recently and was also spotted at the Durga Puja hosted by Rani Mukerji.

The Bachchan Bahu- Aishwarya Rai is had her ‘god bharai’ or baby shower. While Aishwarya is eight months pregnant, the baby is expected sometime in November.

After the baby shower was over in the afternoon, actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai went to designers’ Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s place in Bandra for a private baby shower party. A close aide to Abu and Sandeep says that it was a private party held only for the Bachchan parivar and their close associates.

However, soon to be Grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan is missing all the fun and celebrations as he is busy shooting for Great Gatsby in Australia. While, Asha Parekh, Babita Kapoor and Saira Bano were seen during the God Bharai ceremony.



Each and every lady was seen carrying a goody bag on her way out. With a colourful leheriya (tie-and-dye) sari peeking out of the bag, we wonder what else was in there.

Conspicuous with their absence were Gauri Khan, Sussanne Roshan and Preity Zinta.
